Subtitles on the BBC

Each time I change to the BBC I have to go to parametres and then put on the subtitles.   When the programme comes to an end, the next programme has no subtitles and I have to go through the same process each time.

I only have this problem on the BBC - other channels are working perfectly.

This is a new phenonomen - it has been working perfectly for years.
