Internet connection

Hi, 

i have terrible connection since the morning. I switched on and off my box, still no improvement. Is it because of the works of this morning? 
Any help?

Hello Gilles,

I am having it with my mobile phone mostly - whatsapp, messenger, youtube. It is strange that you did not see interruption. I waited for a couple of minutes when I switched the modem off before turning it on.

Hello @gkalayci,

While your line signal is stable, the speed and stability of Wi-Fi depends on the environment.

Your modem should be in a 100% ventilated space and upright.

Certain elements disturb the WI-FI such as thick walls, metal radiators, bay windows,...

There are also devices that emit waves that are too close to the modem and that interfere with WI-FI, such as baby monitors, wireless hand-helds, Bluetooth devices, fixed telephones, etc.

The modem has two different WI-FI frequencies: 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHZ.

The 5GHZ is much less sensitive to interference and also offers a much higher speed but operates at a shorter range.

Many thanks for this. But what do you mean by "shorter range"? How many meters?

You must be near the modem.
If you are having trouble connecting to the 5GHz network, check that you are not too far from the modem.
