More IP's for Business connection

Dear Everyone,

I wondered if it is possible to increase the number of static IP's on My VOO professional line?
I currently have 2x Static IP's but I would like to increase this to 4x. I allready have a /29 so would it be possible to simply pay for 2 addtional adress and start using them ?

Hello,
Antoine L , a /29 describe a subnet with 6 hosts.

Ex : Your network IP adress is 78.123.234.128/29

Subnet mask should be actually : 255.255.255.248

Thus following IP adresses are :

  • 78.123.234.129
  • 78.123.234.130
  • 78.123.234.131
  • 78.123.234.132
  • 78.123.234.133
  • 78.123.234.134

The broadcast adress is 78.123.234.135 ( non usable)

Hi StephanBenchmark,

Your question is quite specific to professional/business subscriptions. Could you complete youe profile with your customer number ?

It is possible to increase the number of IP to 4, but I can't tell if it'll be possible to do so with the same subnet.

Thank you for your comment,

The issue is more a billing issue and contract issue, also I now that subnetting in Docsis enviroments is not as strait forward as it might be in a flat ethernet or BGP setup, so Im hoping it is piossible so we dont have to reprovision the VOO router

Hello Antoine,

Do yo know of a voo helpdesk nume, the one you gave me is very fast and they did spoke english unfortunately my account is not with them :(

I called the 078/505050 number but they keep hanging up and is only in French, also tried the number at RIPE:

  • person: Jean-Michel Adant
  • address: BRUTELE SC
  • address: Napelsstraat 29-31
  • address: B-1050 Elsene
  • address: Belgium
  • phone: +32 2 5009941

But they pick and then foreward me and I get disconnected.

Next to this IP question, My internet connection is Flapping all day since 7:00 this morning, but cant get anybody on the line to help me.

Antoine L Yes Indeed Cedric allready informed me about the general outage.

Would indeed be great if you can bring me in contact with someone for setting up a contract for the additional IP's.
